The Trail

Nearest Town:
Little Rock

Location: Allsopp Park is located on Cantrell and Cedar Hill Road in Little Rock.

Type: Single track / loops.

Distance: About 6 miles but more is attainable by using some of the side trails.

Summary: It has been a few years since I have been to this trail so most of what I am going on is from memory. The trail is not real long if you follow the outer loops, however there are various little trails that jot off of the main loop. The loop is divided into two sections a North Loop and a South Loop. In order to get from one loop to the other you have to ride through a nice little neighborhood. We started at some tennis courts and made our way around the trail. There is no long hard climbs on this trail and most of it is pretty tame. There are a few short steep little climbs and a couple of fun little downhill's. The trail shows its kin to the Ouachita's due to the number of rocks and roots in the path. If you are looking for a quick ride after work or just to get out and cruise, then this would be a good trail to pick. Nothing really technical or anything that would require good handling skills. This is a multi-use trail and lots of folks take walks on it so be prepared for hikers.

Recommended Route: Start at the tennis courts and go anyway you want, on this trail it will be fun. Most folks that I seen were going in a clockwise direction.

Rating: This trail would be good for just about anyone. The day I went we had a new beginner with us, it was on this trail that she feel in love with mountain biking. Experts will like the trail for a quick workout, the beginner will appreciate it for developing needed skills.
