There are a number of ways that you can contribute to mountain biking in Arkansas. Trails
With the economy in a slump right now many federal, state and city agencies are straining to maintain recreational opportunities for people, this includes the trails that we so dearly love to ride. One of the best things that you can do is to find a local trail and work with the caretaker of the property in helping to maintain the trail. If each of us that use these trails would schedule only 8 hours a year for trail maintenance, our trails would be maintained in great shape and be the envy of other states. Don't wait for someone else to get the ball rolling just schedule a work day and get as many people as you can to go and help, and then follow through. Speaking on getting help, don't look just to the mountain bike community, place adds in newspapers, city and local bulletin boards, advertise it on websites, make it a community project. Look for help at local bike clubs and shops, or hiking and running clubs, they use the trail to, so it should be a joint effort. Here in Arkansas we have some of the best trails around, lets keep them maintained and fun for all to enjoy. Lets not give anybody any reason to even think about closing a trail down due to little or no maintenance. Join I.M.B.A and help out for the fight of trail advocacy. Mountain Bike Arkansas
There are two ways in which you can help Mountain Bike Arkansas: - Contribute and participate in the various elements offered on the website. Contribute to the forum and help others out this way as well, you can also let trail stewards know that you appreciate their work or if you found some trail problems. Add your events, by doing so you will be helping yourself, others and this website. Comment and rank the trails this will help others who are not familiar with the trails. Take part in the polls and voice your opinion. There are so many ways to contribute, please help me to make Mountain Bike Arkansas a thriving online resource.
