Q: How do I create a new account ?

A: Go to the Login Form located only on the Frontpage, from there click on the Create an account. This will take you to Registration page. Here you will need to input your Name, User name, E-mail address and Password. Next just hit the Register button at the bottom. Once you have done this you will receive an email with a web link. You must follow the weblink before your account will be created, you will not be able to login until you have followed the link. The email you receive will have all this information in it.

Q: What about this newsletter, what kind of information will I receive ?

A: The newsletter will only be sent out when ever there is a change to the website and when that change is made by an administrator of the site, such as a new trail added or other updated information. It will not be sent out when ever a comment or rating has been made or by any other action of a regular user of the site. We may also use it for any advocacy issues, important news or special events happening in Arkansas. You do not have to be a registered user to sign up for the newsletter and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Q: How to I add an event ?

A: You must be a registered user in order to add an event. The event must be a mountain bike event. We are not going to limit this to Arkansas only for right now as long as it does not get to crazy. If we do start having issues we may have to only allow in-state events only. If your event does not fall with the categories listed for events then it more then likely does not belong on the event list. If you feel like it does and there is no category for it, then please feel free to send us the information about the event using the Contact Us button at the top of the page.

To add an event click on the Event Submission link in the Event List menu. This will take you to the Event Submission page, please enter all the information asked for as complete as you can. You can select the Venue or create a new one if yours is not listed. If you add a Venue it will take you to the Add Venue screen. Please fill in all the information about this Venue, if you are unsure of what to place in a field just move your cursor over the yellow light bulbs for hints. If you have filled in all the information correctly and hit the Save button you should get a Venue submission saved notice at this point just click on the Event Submission link at the top and continue on with imputing your events information. 

Q: How do I rate a trail ?

A: To rate a trail you need to be logged into the system. Once logged in you just have to click on the star rating that you give the trail, thats all there is to it.

Q: How do I comment on a trail ?

A: You must be a registered user on the system in order to leave comments. On the trail page that you would like to leave a comment for click on the Add New button located in the lower left corner of the page. Now all that is needed is for you to fill in the information. When done click on the Send button and you are done.

Q: How do I add a local to trail ?

A: To add a trail that is not listed on the Mountain Bike Arkansas website simply click on the Trail Add link located at the top of the page. Please read all the directions on the page for filling out the form. Once you are done simply mouse over the grey box at the bottom of the page to display the captcha and input the code into the box just to the right. We have to use captcha security on this page as adding a trail does not require you to be a registered user and to keep the spam down to a minimum. Next hit the send button and thats it.
